If I go to the Felix preferences, on the Glossary tab, and select "Get entries as plain text" and "Get entries as lower case," this works for me.

Also, even without these options set, if I hold down the Shift key while pressing ALT + {NUM} (the glossary entry number), it retrieves it as plain text, and lower case.

Are you doing one of these things?

I'm having other trouble with the glossary. I don't think this is me not understanding how the tool works.

I suspect this might be a Parallels issue...

FWIW, I always want text I pull in to match the surrounding environment. (On this job, anyway, and I think on most jobs.)

(The shortcut says Ctrl Alt L, but it seems to be Ctrl Alt RARR).

I went into Word and, by disabling the WordFast add-in, I was able to get it to work.

But in PowerPoint, the icons refuse to change color like they normally do when you go into edit mode. I checked the add-ins and there's no WordFast even registered, and there is nothing in the add-ins tab, either.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but edit mode still doesn't work.

Anything else to try?

From the Felix menu, select Preferences, and then Keyboard Shortcuts...

You could be able to set that shortcut to another key.

Solution:

1. Open the Windows virtual machine, but do not start it.

2. In the Mac menu bar click on Parallels Desktop-> Preference.

3. Click on the Keyboard tab.

4. Add the shortcut Alt 1 and map it to Alt 1.

The problem should be solved.

I don't know if other Parallels' issues will come up, but it might be a good sub-forum.

I like #2. FWIW, shift when using the mouse menu works, but the keystroke shift + alt + 1 does not work.

When I pull in a glossary term, it doesn't match the color of the surrounding text, so I retype the glossary entry.

Also, when the font color is white and I register a TU, it is invisible in the Felix window (white on white).

I really like the auto-glossary function for short entries.

I tried to automate it with a macro, but ran into trouble. Here is the code:

The problem is that the macro executes to the end before Felix can work. So I broke this into two macros, which works in straight-forward cases:

and

    With ActiveWindow.View
        .ShowRevisionsAndComments = True

The problems are that if you have to extend the lookup selection, you're back to square one. Also, the second macro causes the screen to jump.
